Treatment of Aquaculture Wastewater
1. Characteristics:
The concentrations of suspended solids (SS) and organic substances are high. Ammonia nitrogen and total phosphorus are likely to cause the water to smell bad, and it carries a large number of pollutants such as Escherichia coli.
2. Treatment Difficulties:
The concentrations of suspended solids, COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand), ammonia nitrogen are high, the chroma is deep, it contains pathogenic bacteria, and has a strong odor.
3. Treatment Process:
Solid-liquid separation + physicochemical treatment + two-stage A2O (Anaerobic-Anoxic-Oxic) process.
4. Solutions:
Through solid-liquid separation and physicochemical treatment processes, the total phosphorus and suspended solids in the wastewater are initially removed. Then, the combined process of two-stage A2O and advanced treatment is applied to further remove pollutants in the wastewater so that it can be discharged up to the standards.
5. Discharge Standards:
The maximum allowable average daily discharge concentration standard values of water pollutants for intensive livestock and poultry breeding industry in Table 5 of the Discharge Standard of Pollutants for Livestock and Poultry Breeding (GB18596-2001).
The Pearl River Delta discharge standard in the Discharge Standard of Pollutants for Livestock and Poultry Breeding in Guangdong Province (DB44/613-2009).
